Painted Wargaming Miniatures, Figurines & Terrain

I’ve been painting wargaming figurines and miniatures for clients for over 3 decades. I started as a wargamer myself but people liked my painting so much they kept offering to buy my armies or asking me to paint theirs. I’ve been busy painting customer orders ever since. Over the years I have painted literally tens of thousands of miniatures for clients in 15mm, 28mm and even occasionally 54mm. I’ve been painting over 500 miniatures and figurines a month for well over two decades. In between customer orders I’m always practising and experimenting with my own projects, trying out new paints or painting techniques. I use these products for demonstration purposes. I find they are useful tools for showing the client what the finished product will look like.

In between customer orders I practice a lot on 20mm, or 1/72nd scale figures. I find this quite useful as figures in that scale require both 15mm and 28mm painting techniques. That allows me to practice and constantly refine both skill sets simultaneously. Also, 20mm or 1/72nd scale figures are by far the hardest miniatures to paint, especially the ones cast in soft plastic. If you can make soft plastic 1/72nd scale figures look good, you can paint anything.

I should also mention that I have an Honours Degree in Classical Archaeology from The University of Sydney so I know how to research and build armies in miniature. I’ve worked for several years as an archaeologist, in the wargaming industry and I’m a decorated Veteran, which gives me a broad range of experience that I apply to building & painting wargaming armies.
